Breast Revision Surgery / Plastic Surgeon

The female patient presented is 58 years of age and requested to have a breast revision. During the examination, I confirmed that she had capsular contracture (scar tissue) around the implants and required a breast lift to achieve her exceptions. Her previous surgery was performed less than a year ago by a non-board-certified plastic surgeon who elected not to do a breast lift during the primary augmentation.
This patient’s reconstruction or breast revision included removing the implants, placing smaller saline implants to be more proportional to her size, and a mastopexy (breast lift).
The frontal view photo of her left breast before her reconstruction shows capsular contracture (scar tissue), malposition of the implant, and ptosis or sagging of her breast. Her after photo (6 weeks post-op) shows a nice decrease in size, volume proportionate for her body, and good nipple-areolar positioning.

Breast Revision After Two Previous Breast Surgeries

I evaluated this 31-year-old female who requested to have a breast revision. During her examination, she mentioned that this was going to be her third breast surgery. She had two prior breast surgeries from other surgeons in Southern California and was hopeful this would be her last.

Breast Revision Before Pictures

The frontal pre-op photos to the right show capsular contracture (scar tissue) and malposition of the right implant. Due to minimal breast tissue, the left breast shows rippling from the implant as well as malposition of the implant and low nipple position.

The patient’s reconstruction or breast revision included removing the implants, nipple-areolar repositioning, and placing 445 cc SRX gel breast implants. Her post-op photo below is only two weeks after surgery, but notice that she has no rippling, symmetrical balance, and nice fullness. She is very excited about the outcome of her procedure, and I will be seeing her a few more times over the next month to ensure an excellent result.
