Preferred Silicone Gel Breast Implants

Dr. Linder discusses his three preferred silicone gel breast implants to use in his Beverly Hills practice. These implants are produced by three different manufacturers available and FDA approved in the United States.

The first, Natrelle®, is a high-profile cohesive gummy bear SCX silicone implant by Allergan™. The second, from Mentor®, is referred to as Memorygel XTRA cohesive gel, which is excellent for revisions because they are prone to less rippling. Lastly is the Sientra® style 107 high profile cohesive.

  • The Natrelle® SCX Silicone is especially useful in breast revision surgery, where tissue coverage is minimal. This gummy bear implant is very viscous and very strong.
  • The Mentor® Memorygel XTRA provides more projection by base width, and the cohesive gel holds together to increase fullness without the round look of a high-profile implant. Ideal for breast revision procedures, this implant allows for less rippling and visibility. 
  • The Sientra® 107 High Profile provides a fuller upper pole appearance while allowing for a more dramatic outward projection from the chest. This implant is very strong, very thick, and very cohesive.
